Ideas Frescas’s works published
in 2005 are recognised in El Salvador

El Salvador’s most circulated newspaper: El Diario de Hoy published on Thursday 3rd of November, 2005 the article 'Diseño Gráfico de Exportación' (Export Quality Graphic Design), where international publications of Ideas Frescas’s works are credited.

  • The brand packagings for ‘La Milita’ bee honey and gourmet ground coffee ‘Café de Lya’ designed by Ideas Frescas, were studied in the book ‘Packaging Graphic Makeovers for Market Change’ by Stacey King Gordon, published by Rockport, USA in march 2005.

  • The typographic poster ‘Rythmic’ designed by Frida was featured in the book ‘1000 Type Treatments’ by Wilson Harvey/ Loewy, published by Rockport, USA in march 2005. The poster is part of the ‘Thinking Types’ series that was previously nominated to the ‘Beatrice L. Warde Award’ by the ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) in May 1999.

  • Frida Larios, was chosen by Icograda (International Council of Graphic Design Ass o ciations) to participate in ‘The State of Design in Latin America’ to research and write about the status of design in El Salvador. The report appeared in the first edition of the In Situ journal published in Brussels in March 2005. The publication also includes three works by Ideas Frescas as representatives of the Central American region.

These small steps that have been noticed by the international design community, are the ones that inspire Ideas Frescas to keep developing symbols and meanings of Salvadorean culture in its work.
