The Central American Forum will host eight events throughout the course of four days (Monday 12 - Thursday 15 November) covering current political, cultural and tourism issues about Central America – a region in the process of integration.

The talk proposes a re-interpretation of the original Maya hieroglyphs with the aim of applying them to contemporary visual communications by designing new symbols and pictograms that can be used in signage design across archaeological and national interest sites in Central America. The ‘New Maya Hieroglyphs®’ enhance the archaeological and other national sites user’s visiting and learning experience, and they can act as regenerator agents for Central America’s graphic culture.
