Frida Larios has an MA in Communication Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. She is an Associate Lecturer at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London and is Ideas Frescas Director.

She used to represent El Salvador at international events in beach volleyball and was Central America's number one for several years, having won a gold medal in the 2001 Central American Games. Frida has also won design awards, in 1999 she was nominated to Beatrice L. Warde Award by the ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) for excellence in typographic research in the UK, and in 2005 was the only Latin American to have won the student Sign Design Award given by the Sign Design Society in London, for her MA project ‘New Maya Hieroglyphs Archaeological Site’.

Frida is a member of the ISTD and the Sign Design Society.
