Frida wins the Student Sign Design Award 2005

Frida Larios, our Creative Director, recently won the Student Sign Design Award 2005. She was given the award by the Sign Design Society in a ceremony at the Royal Society of Arts in London on the 12th of October 2005.

We at Ideas Frescas are very pleased with the news, especially since Frida’s was the only prize granted to Latin America in this world competition. The work titled ‘New Maya Glyphs Archaeological Site’ consists of a sign system and, at the same time, a narrative. This system is carved in wood, using the ‘New Maya Glyphs’ as pictograms for signs of orientation and browsing, which can be applied to archaeological sites in El Salvador.
